Liam Carey

A few weeks ago, Liam Carey came to visit us at UK HQ in West Yorkshire to upgrade his suspension - a fresh set of BR series coilovers to improve the daily driveability, ride height and handling of the car from his existing setup.

Liam spent most of the day with Michael, our resident technician, who was fitting the new coilovers. However, we had a surprise for him - last year, Liam attended a track day we hosted at Donington Park and managed to send one of our Citroen C1 track cars spinning straight into a gravel trap.

He was re-united with the C1, and whilst Michael got to work, we sent Liam on a driving test with the C1 - all in the name of safety, of course. Slaloms, figure of eights, reverse parking, parallel parking and an emergency stop were all part of this extremely thorough and very serious driving test, which Liam (mostly) passed with flying colours.

Whilst the fitting wasn’t without difficulty (the car fought Michael quite a bit with seized bolts!), the coilovers were soon fitted. Following a wheel alignment, Liam’s S3 was ready to go and we bid him farewell. It was great to host him for the day and we hope he enjoys his new coilovers!
