Radical, Shedfest and Eurocrew

Welcome back to our latest entry, where we’ll be talking about yet another hectic weekend for us. Spread out over three separate events, our team had a busy yet enjoyable time at Shedfest (Bolesworth Castle, UK), Eurocrew & Friends Navarra (Circuito de Navarra, Spain) and the Radical Cup (Brands Hatch, UK).

We’ll start at Brands Hatch, where Adam, our resident photographer, was in attendance for the Radical Cup. BC Racing Taiwan driver Brian Huang is competing in this championship, with this weekend being the first round of the season. The overall weekend was for the GT World Challenge, so there was plenty of activity across the circuit, both on track and in the paddocks. Friday was a test day on the Indy layout, with four allocated sessions for Radical across the day. Brian got plenty of seat time in for the first three sessions, but unfortunately was unable to take part in the fourth due to an oil pump issue. Saturday was race day on the full GP circuit. Radical qualifying was one of the first sessions of the day, but was hampered by two red flags and a few yellow flags, which made it difficult to get clean flying laps in. Brian ended up qualifying P9, but was eager to make up some places in the racing. Race 1 saw a solid start, but unfortunately a safety car plus a stop-and-go penalty left Brian finishing in P13. Race 2 on Sunday saw a much better result, with P6 in the bag.

Up at Bolesworth Castle, we also attended AutoAlex’s Shedfest with our Time Attack V8 R33 Skyline. Despite threatening skies, the weather played ball and stayed dry for the show. There was an enormous range of cars in attendance, from your genuine “sheds” and project cars to some stunning classics and heavily modified show cars. The location, new to Shedfest, proved to be a success and provided a unique setting for such an event. It was a very busy show and if you’re a car YouTuber fan, it was definitely the place to be with a lot of famous faces in the crowd. We even had a visit on the BC stand from Ethan and Jack from All the Gear. It was great to see so many people and the Skyline, as ever, was a great display to have.

Finally, we also visited Spain for Eurocrew & Friends at Circuito de Navarra. We had a unique graffiti-styled Audi R8 (on newly fitted ZX coilovers) on the stand, which was a big draw for a lot of people. Sadly, the weather was poor for most of the weekend with heavy rain - currently a recurring theme for us at Spanish shows! Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable event with something always going on, such as drifting displays, motorcross stunt show, great show cars and plenty of people to meet and chat to.

Next up for us, we’re back to Spain for Drift Masters x Volrace followed by JCM at Misano in Italy. Stay tuned for that!
